OpenCase itself is Free Software.

However, OpenCase is designed for charities and small organisations. They may not have anyone in the organisation who has the time or the expertise to install the software and to keep it up to date.

Therefore there will be a hosted service available for very reasonable prices. This will include help with getting started.
